The James Dyson Award 2017 is an international design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. The Award is open to current and recent design engineering students. It is organized by the James Dyson Foundation as a mission to get young people interested in design engineering.
Dyson Foundation is looking for designers who think differently to create products that work better, engineers who follow an iterative design process, and products that have a significant and practical purpose, are commercially viable, and are designed with sustainability in mind.
Entrants must be, or have been within the last four years, enrolled for at least one semester in an undergraduate or graduate engineering or design program at a university in a country chosen to participate in the James Dyson Award. Winners receive 40,000 USD to take their projects forward.
